WEIGHT WATCHERS WEEK 40

Minus 500g tonight...slowly, slowly, catchy monkey. Total loss 28kg 500g. Another 10kg to go... Before the weigh-in, I went into Deal to my favourite shop: M&Co. They were having a sale and I bought several things for my holiday...it was great, I tried...

OUT OF SIGHT...

You know, it really is true what they say: Out of sight, out of mind. But when you let someone back into your mind the melancholy that accompanies thoughts of them is unbearable. Maybe that's why we shield ourselves and don't allow some things to take...

AND THE WINNER IS.....

...baby sis, BA, Classic's Prize winner 2009 and 1st class honours! Today we have been to the beautiful Canterbury Cathedral to see baby sis receive her diploma DEGREE (shows how much I know!) in Classics and Archeological Studies. A fitting end to three...

WEIGHT WATCHERS WEEK 39

I was robbed! WW scales reckon I've put on 250g this week, but I KNOW my clothes are looser and golfer is adament that I'm thinner than last week...when I've messed up I put my hands up, but this time it's their scales, grrrrrr.

SUBTLE DIFFERENCES

Having someone live with you in your house is not the same as living with someone in a home belonging to both of you...not a major discovery you might say, but a very different situation to adjust to when you've been used to being in charge of everything...

That's more like it! 1kg 500g off this week...total loss now is 28kg...only another few months to go and I'm off down the front for a 99 flake

WEIGHT WATCHERS WEEKS 36 & 37

I was too depressed to note last week's effort...and this week's not much better: 250g on last week, 500g off this week. In my defence, I have moved and been very stressed (in a good way) and very busy...I know, I know, that's no excuse, but I'll do better...

AN EMPTY SPACE

There's like an echo in my front room! I sold my sofa bed and armchair and now we're reduced to sitting on garden chairs to watch Eastenders...only trouble is, we haven't signed the contract on the new flat yet, if it falls through golfer will be bringing...

MY CUTIE

I recently changed my Peugeot 307 for a sexy little 107 and can now report that it's a real little cutie, I love it to bits. Agile, economical, nippy, it does me very well and makes me feel young again...not that I had a car when I was young, but you...

WEIGHT WATCHERS WEEK 33

NO CHANGE...which is somehow good as I was on holiday 'dans le pays du foie gras'. No, seriously, that's good, I'm making a real effort next week to get back to losing at least a kilo per week, this has to be brought to an end now.

COUCOU GRENOBLE

35 degrees, great food, great company, an evening at the theatre that will stay in the annals as the day Mlle Lopez won the Palme d'Or, all in all a wonderful holiday for golfer and me with the Grenoblois... and this lovely photo taken by le petit loup....
